Vanilla Oleoresin Uses We Love
Vanilla oleoresin, with its warm, rich aroma, is not only delightful to the senses but also incredibly versatile in DIY projects. Its soothing fragrance makes it a favorite ingredient for many homemade creations. Here are a few DIY uses of Vanilla oleoresin that are sure to enhance your daily routines and living spaces.

1. **Soothing Body Scrub**
Create a luxurious, exfoliating body scrub by mixing:
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ¼ cup of almond or coconut oil
  • 5-10 drops of Vanilla oleoresin
Mix until well combined.
The sugar granules help to exfoliate the skin, removing dead skin cells, while the oil moisturizes. The Vanilla essential oil provides a soothing aroma for a spa-like experience.

2. **Relaxing Bath Salts**
For a calm, relaxing bath experience, combine:
  •  1 cup of Epsom salt
  • ½ cup of baking soda
  • 10-15 drops of Vanilla oleoresin in a bowl
  • Dried flowers (optional)
Mix well and store in an airtight container. Use a handful of this bath salt mixture in your bath water to soothe muscles and indulge in the warm, comforting scent of Vanilla.

3. **Homemade Natural Perfume**
You can create your own natural perfume by mixing:
  • 5-8 drops of Vanilla oleoresin
  • A vegetable oil such as jojoba, almond, or fractionated coconut oil
  • Use a 10ml roller bottle
Fill it with a vegetable oil of your choice.  Shake well before each use and apply to pulse points for a subtly sweet and comforting fragrance.

4. **Aromatic Room Spray**

For a quick and easy way to freshen up your living space:
  • mix water, a bit of witch hazel or alcohol (to help disperse the oil)
  • 10-20 drops of Vanilla oleoresin in a small spray bottle.
Shake well before each use and spritz around the room for a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

5. **DIY Vanilla Lip Balm*
Keep your lips soft and moisturized with a homemade Vanilla lip balm.
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons of beeswax
  • 1 tablespoon of shea butter
  • 10 drops of Vanilla oleoresin
Melt coconut oil, beeswax, and shea butter in a double boiler. Once melted and combined, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla oleoresin. Pour into small tins or lip balm tubes and let cool before using.

Incorporating Vanilla oleoresin into your DIY projects not only adds a lovely scent but can also enhance your overall wellness by promoting relaxation and comfort. Always remember to do a patch test before applying anything new to your skin and to adjust amounts based on your personal preferences and sensitivities.
